Here are some great flute parts in some great oldies;

Tuesday Afternoon by the Moody Blues
Moondance by Van Morrison
Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues
Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones
Goin' to the Country by Canned Heat
Undun by Guess Who
El Condor Pasa (If I Could) by Simon and Garfunkel

Tull Jethro Tull that is played the flute. Try the album AquaLung

Jethro Tull. They're classic rock.

Embrace – I Wouldn’t Want to Happen to You
Teenage Fanclub – Hang On
The Dears – Postcard from Purgatory
Mercury Rev – Something for Joey

Marshall Tucker Band also used a flute in some of their songs, but they are predominently country.

Tull ROCKS!

Jethro Tull

Some Led Zeppelin, such as the intro for Stairway To Heaven

The Beatles have a few songs with flute in them! I know for sure that these ones do...

You've Got to Hide Your Love Away
Fool on the Hill

Just to clarify, there is no flute on Stairway to heaven - those are recorders.

Jethro Tull and Marshal tucker.

There are a few other groups that sneak in a flute here and there, Jimi Hendrix had a little flute on one of his tracks on Electric Ladyland.

Don'f forget the flute solo on The Mamas and the Papas "California Dreaming".....

And on "Wild Thing" by The Troggs....

'Down Under' - Men At Work.

COLOR MY WORLD by CHICAGO HAS A CLASIC FLUTE SOLO IN IT. IN THE 70'S IT WAS THE FIRST SONG ANYONE EVER DANCED TO.LOL
