I hate screamo, but I do like death because the lyrics are cool, love the heaviness and the anger
because the music just hits your nuts and makes you go crazy.if you wanna get high without drugs and alcohol, listen to some death metal.cannibal corpse is my favourite.

those two answers probably dont know about music screamo and death are not the same but their lyrics are amazing and they are popular because those types of concerts are the best in the world especially "underoath" the best screaming band and best drummer and best bassist" but thats why they are so popular .
guys get really crazy at the concerts and it get pretty cool.
Death metal and screamo are pretty different. Old screamo is awesome, new version sucks; don't listen to death metal much; death growl is kinda weird, but I can see why people like it.
Edit:Psycho got all of the new crappy screamo bands down, but failed to list the old ones. Job ofr the Cowboy sucks,. but thats a decent list of good Death.

There is a reason Guys like it more than Girls. Testosterone. Plain and simple. It gets you pumped up. Sometimes even to the point of wanting to just beat the crap out of something. It is not everyone's cup of tea. I love it the most for driving the interstate at about 85 mph!! Oh yeah!
