I think he is a stand up guy. He has a few songs I like, but i really like a lot of his ideas. He was definitely a pioneer.

I was 17 when I say him live in the Orange bowl in Miami. It was worth the 5 hour trip each way. it was at an all day Rock fest with at least 10 bands and he was the second to last act the last was Aero Smith. But he stole the show he was GREAT. I can still see it his rocket flame shooting guitar as he jumped from a 10 foot speaker tower it was so dark with no other stage light on but the flames came from his guitar. I did not know he had a new album out I better go and get that. Oh yea I think he is a stand up guy and has done a lot not only for Rock n Roll but also for hunter educzation and game preservation. GO TED
I enjoy his music very much. But his political views drive me nuts. He says that all democrats should go to hell. So.. other than that I love him.

As a musician, he is awesome. I have not ready much on his philosophies or political views though.
