Why did Creed break up?!
Question: Conflict of interests....after 3-4 albums they decided to go their separate ways and Scott Stapp recorded his own solo album...the rest formed Alter Bridge (AWESOME!!!).
Good luck to them all I say...I really loved Creed (went to their concert in Melbourne 5 years ago).

Because of Scott Stapp's attitude problem. At least that's what I was told.
The two things I heard the most was Scott Stapp wanted to do his own thing and go solo and the other band members were fed up with him because he was always passing out during concerts.
I think they have a story of it on MTV.com or VH1.com
Because Scott Stapp is an *** with a jesus complex and I think bandmates finally got sick of him.
I cried that day. As I remember, Scott Stapp had gotten into some goofy religious stuff, and wasn't committed to the band any more. At least, that's the other band members' side of the story.
THEY DONT SUCK! and they broke up becuase all the other members dis-agreed with the singer (scott stapp) the singer wanted to go and do different types of music and they band didnt agree with him the had gotten into many fights and thats when they dicided to barke up. but the band (except the singer) made another band called alter bride it has the same gutairest and drummer except they have a diffrent singer. And just becuase HE WANTED TO SING RELIGOUSE STUFF U PEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK CRAP BOUT HIM U PEOPLE ARE MEAN :( TEAR
connbell's right, lol. thats the same thing i thought when i saw the question and before i saw the answers.
They were having problems pulling the nails out of Stapp's hands to get him off his cross for practice.
Oh, and Eddie Vedder called. He wanted his voice back.
