Well, that's a bummer. Boo those people. Or kick them in the crotch. They should know better than to categorize a musical instrument to a single gender.
Although it would be cool if there were more female guitarists that everyone would notice so that comments like that wouldn't exist.

It just gives them more competition.
I don't think gender has anything to do with it at all....there's some underrated guitar players out there.....but not to be shallow or anything but girls with guitars are hot =]
