Did Imus have a point when he said it was hip hop's fault for his actions or!

Question: I thought this was interesting.... He didn't ask this question in the rap-hip hop section, so I wanted to know how everyone here felt.

I am not going to entertain the thought of someone not being able to tell the diff between music and real life. Let's say some guy watches a lot of Porn is it OK for him to think that if you fix a ladies cable she'll give you some. No. The same applied here. Imus said something stupid and he used rap as a scapegoat. Plain and Simple.

Racist.

He is playing the blame game, do you really see Imus jamming out to hip hop? He is a country western fan.

it was a stupid joke. he shouln't have said it on the radio.

It's hip-hop's fault and Black America's fault. Both for promoting this kind of language and their leaders not holding the ones that use it responsible.

Don't use words and terms in your everday music and speech and then expect those words not to be used by everyone else in society.

While blacks are bickering over useless things like the Imus comments, the Latino race is passing them by in economic status.

I feel he has a point that hip-hop, or any music for that matter, that contains violent or disrespectful content can be a negative influence to people that are "weak minded" and can be influenced easily...
...but before he can claim that as an excuse, wouldn't you like to see his CD collection or iTunes playlist?
All hip-hop isn't "bad"... let not the actions of few damage the image of all

Imus was right on the point, like a ho on a cak.

Hip hop is to blame for the majoriy of the problems in society: welfare babies from different daddies, illegal drug activity, laziness, crime, glorified gansta lifestyle, etc. are all ideals glorified by hip hop that negatively influences those who listen. Hip hop is bringing our great country down.

He thinks he has a point, but, even saying that he said "ho" because hip hop music uses the word is wrong. Just because someone else says a hurtful word doesn't give anyone else a free pass. What's one of the first things a mother teaches their child two wrongs don't make a right. Just because a hip hop artest say ho, or any other defamatory term does not give all people in the world a free pass to say something disrespectful to someone else.

who is imus? is he famous or something?

Man I see it like this the man should have never said the nappy headed h** or anything else but on the real Rutgers basketball team is and was ugly as he** so I did agree with him on that they are ugly it is what it is lol but hip hop did not make him do it

Racist period we need to stop blamming everyone else and the media for f***ed up people it starts with they f***ed up parents , if people would raise they damn children then we wouldnt have stupid asses like that.
