is lead singer phil anselmo always like that, it seemed to me like he was on drugs or severely messed up. never heard him interview before. comments

The drugs have taken a huge toll on him.......he was in chronic pain for years and was addicted to heroin (which caused an overdose)

yah he's pretty screwed up from all the drugs and drinking all those years.
I saw them in concert in Houston in 1996. Phil was drunk and high on heroin. He ranted about beating Mike Tyson's a**! He was very talkative the whole show. So, hopefully he is fully clean and sober now because he has one hell of a mouth. I do have to say it is the best concert I have ever been to.
