Hank Williams Sr. is definitely the King of Honky Tonk!
He sang Honky Tonk and lived Honky Tonk!
I loved the duet his son put together with his old video!

You know...Hank Sr. is great, don't get me wrong..but.. I,m going with Gary Stewart. Drinking thing, She's acting single, An empty glass, not to mention Whiskey Trip and Out of Hand. Those were some Honky Tonk classics.
Hank-he invented the genre, and nobody's surpassed him yet.
Lefty is a huge favorite of mine (and Webb Pierce & Ray Price) but Hank is the best.
Love Hank Thompson, but he's never been a pure honky tonk singer, more a combination of honky tonk & western swing
Gary Stewart-great talent, tragic story, but he didn't have the output of the others.
