Is 5 hours too early to rock up to a concert???? PLEASE NEED OPINION!!!!!?!

Question: Way too early mate. I usually turn up between 1-2 hours before the gig starts. So you allow a buffer in case you have transport problems getting there, you have plenty of time to get in the gate, you can go for a piss and then push your way up to the front by the stage.

Trust me you don't want to be 5 hours early!! You get so bored and restless. Concerts don't usually start at the time that is scheduled so you could be 6-7 hours early.

Back in the day of the Grateful Dead, people would start at sunup. Too early is really a question for you to decide. Consider the venue and how welcoming they are to tailgating, the style of music and the crowd they draw, and your own ability to maintain your party without wiping out.
Well it all depends on the band...If the band is "mainstream" then there is definitely gonna be a big crowd...so getting there 5 hrs early would be great if u want to be up against the barricade [rail] [actually, even getting their earlier would be best]...but if u dont get a spot up against the rail then the 5 hrs aren't worth it...
i would think you will certainly get a front spot
you are trying to get there before the crowds not before crew, Damn...
Yes, it's too early. No concert ever starts on time!
I always get to a concert 2 hrs before the doors actually open.
I AM ALWAYS IN THE FRONT ROW.!!
it depends on the band. if the venue has stores/restraunts around it, go down to it early and check out what the line looks like. then just walk around and chill out. check back every so often and see how things look. when others start to line up, then get in line. not only are you more likely to have your pick of where you want to be inside, but you also might have a chance to see the band before the show. that completely depends on the venue though. some places they park the buses by the front doors on the street, other places have a special place for the buses to park. you can get rail without being in the front of the line, but you'll have to push your way up and be a little on the rude side and makes others mad to do it
Yes! Ask yourself if you will still think it was a wise and sensible thing to do, 20 years from now, then you'll have your answer!
Its never too early to rock! But yeah i would rock out in the car for like an extra hour or two so your not standing in line all day
no way! for my last concert i showed up six hours early! People were there before me too!!
