I am serious about singing and want to start a career in singing but I want to know how to sing first.

Well....i won't mention vocal lessons, but vocal technique is vital, i spoke to a vocal teacher about improving range and pitch and without giving me a lesson, simply explained the different workings of your vocal tools found all around the inside of your mouth and usage of eyebrows to lift notes and hit pitch. Maybe find someone who knows about vocal technique and then put it to practice.
Find your vocal range and then sing along to songs on the radio or a cd track within your vocal range utilising the techniques you learn. Warm ups are vital, so find out more about warming up your vox before you start singing. Finding the right style to suit your voice and taste helps lots...anyways, thats my 2 cents - i've been singing for years and only recently learnt vocal techniques that have helped improve my vox - happy discovering

try to sing more, sing your favorite songs find the lyrics and sing try to sing like the singers in songs

it's in you, the only thing you can do is practice.. it's like a puppy teaching him how to sit or roll over.. just believe that you can do it.. dont give up.. the only failure you'll get is when you give up
