Answers: the 5the symphony by Ralph Vaughn Williams, some well respected music critic once said that it is the piece he wants to hear before he gets on a plane just in case the plane crashes. And how about some Haydn? Mendelssohn "Italian", "Scottish", etc Just look up beethovens 5th. My personal favorite. What was really funny at Palm Beach Atlantic(1975) - our class of 12 Music Theory II students encompassed pianists, vocalists, and instrumentalists (elec bass and guitar)

At the end of the year we were asked to write the 3 composers we enjoyed listening to the most. We really split 20 different ways on 2 and 3.....

but the # 1 for all was Johann Sebastian Bach.

I liked Tocatta and Fugue in D minor for organ
and there are many others - a great fugue master

enjoy Bach's Brandenberg Concertos and Orchestral Suites for Baroque

For classical, Haydn's London symphonies (93-103). Symphony # 94 is pretty famous.

Handel's Water Music My favourite piece of music at present is Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D. Beautiful Just google any composer or era and start doing some research.
