Rap is mostly hate music. Not all of it but they got filthy lyrics. I am of a older generation and could probably be your dad. This does not mean I have a closed mind to new music, Rock and roll seemed to deliver ways of conduct. Not it all, take AC/DC. Lyrics , some were trash. The guitar playing told the song. No one today can come close to Jimmy Page. He talked with his guitar. Like Angus Young. Excellent players,allot of emotion. I could go on and on but we pulled our pants up! Listing to rock and roll influence ya? Does rap and hip hop influence you? Listen to rock it has a hidden message! Rap is just foul language. Growing up with rock , it has affected most of us. Someone will not like my answer and block it! I will keep on answering it! I grew up with rock and take everything serious. Answer to question we are more serious! The songs hit home and made sense. i guess my generation is in touch with whats happening. The music now has no meaning. Grow up with rock, yes I cannot speak for everyone but I take things that go on really seriously
