ATTENTION DRUMMERS!!! Wrapping drum shells?
I'm thinking of changing my lacquer finish drums to being wrapped. To do this do I have to first sand off the finish then add adhesive? Or can I just add the adhesive to the lacquer then the wrap?
Answers:
Dont do it. The drums are built for optimum performance. Wrapping chokes the ability of the drum to resonate. If you dont like the way your drums look, get new drums. Dont ruin the ones you have.
