What Happened to the Innovation and Creativity in MUSIC...???
now everybody's trying to be "edgy" but they have like 3 stylist styling them to look punk...meanwhile the punks created their look on their own.
(I'm tired of watching American Idol and seeing these tacky singers with their punk hairdoos...but singing pop bull***t)
they have other people writing the songs ... other people playing the music...other people dressing them and telling then how to sound.
it's pretty pathetic.

dude.... you are 100% right. You want to know what happened it ? MONEY. I'd say money is 70% of the reason why all this happened.
Some of it can be attributed to today's 'quick-fix' society not having the attention span and being to cynical to listen to proper music.
Today just about anything will be put on the radio or TV if it'll attract money or sex. Like you said it's really pathetic. Art is in really bad shape these days.
