I would call the club owner/promoter. As a club owner-they will usually share there information with you. Ask them about the turnout, any problems, were they good people. I would also suggest talking to the bands management, and ask them. Do the stories match?(expect the band to have a better story on the money and turnout side.)
Try pitching the band, I have this much to spend, ill do this on the rider...will you do the show? Music is a rough game, you would be surprised by who will do what show for how much.
