What should I get for my next drum kit?!?!
Question:
What should I get for my next drum kit?!?
I have been playing drums for about a year now and my set is terrible. I purchased it not knowing if I would like drums and well, as it turns out, I love them. I play every day for at least an hour and I think I might want to make it my career (at 15, it's presumptuous, I know).
I have been eyeballing the PDP (Pacific Drums by DW) FS 6 piece set for a while now but I'm not sure. Before I go off spending $1,000 (that's about my budget) on a set I want to see what other people think. I want a quality set that is not deemed good just because of it's low price.
I am looking for a quality, 6 or more piece set (possibly 5 piece, if it's right). I don't need cymbals or a throne (although a throne would be nice) and looks are not that important.
Thanks a lot for reading all of that excess and for answering my question.
Answers:
I like Yamaha Stage Custom kits the best. It's like they made the best kit they could for the money, rather than the PDP which are like they made a kit, and then cheapened every part until it hit the price point.
Hard to explain, but I like the Yamaha Stage Custom.
