Are there any REAL COUNTRY MUSIC FANS here?

Ok, I have a question for country music fans. I listen to country alot too, and I like alot of it, so I'm not hating on anyone who loves Country music... I just want to know what you think of those sad songs that are specifically written to make you cry and they are just made up stories about pretend people? What do you think of those.... Like that song "I'll wait for you" - It's like a formula song. Does that ever bother you? Just wondering.

I'm a country music purist, and I love them sad ole songs. Some of them are based on real events, while some are just made up, but are written about a subject that is made to pull at your heart strings. Country music has always been raw in emotion and feeling, and that's why when they write a sad song it moves you to emotion. I love REAL country music, and I always will, and it don't matter to me if it's a sad song or a good ole honky tonkin', boot scootin', hell raisin' song, as long as it's REAL country, I love it.Hope that helped ya some.
