Answers:
here's what i dont get about the NAACP's "retirement" for the N word....we got millions of african-americans dying of AIDS and the state of black america's educational system is in terrible condition, and they think this is the biggest problem we have, a word? I think this showed that the NAACP is no longer relevant in the black community....to the question, no we should not retire the N word, tis when we do that we lose our freedom of speech, Rap music effects the youth, rappers have always effected the youth, sometimes in a positive way, sometimes in a negative way, rappers from the streets are gonna talk about certain things the youth can relate to, the struggles, the ups and the downs, if there is a negative aspect then its up to the parents, the teachers, the preachers, all the role models within our communities to try and lead the youth to a positive direction....With all the things going on the in the country, and within the black community, what does that say about us as a people if our biggest concern is the N word? Everyone wants to blame rap/hip hop for all the problems we have but I refuse to do so... Parents, do your job, raise your kids, teach them right from wrong instead of letting celebrities have such an influence on them.
