Any good cheap electric drum kits (cheap meaning under $600)?

You really can't buy a nice kit for 600 dollars. Kits for that price don't sound good, they break easily, and they don't pick up soft hits from the sticks very well. The cheapest kit that I would recommend would be the Roland TD-3SW for 1,000 dollars.

You can use headphones to listen to the kit by yourself, but if you want other people to hear it, you need an amp or some kind of speaker system.

Some kits come with a kick pedal and/or drum throne, but usually you need to buy those separately.
