Do rappers actually live there lyrics or is it all hype ?!

Question:

Do rappers actually live there lyrics or is it all hype ?

Im a big fan of hip hop and rap and I see alot of beefs that rappers get into. Alot of times they criticize each other saying that they are not from the streets and they are not real gangstas. What does that mean ? I mean, do they really go out at night and rob and kill people like they rap about ? or is it all hype. It seems so believable that they are hard but whats the real truth. And when they beef, do they really hate each other and want to kill each other or is it all for record sales ?

Answers:

If they lived there music you wouldn't know them because they would be dead or in jail. Who would kill someone then brag about it on a CD that can be purchased by a cop. Who would be a drug dealer and brag about drug deals on an album that can be purchased by cops. I would say 15 percent of so called "gangsta rappers" were in street gangs as youths. But now they are retired to street life.

Bye the way Tupac went to a school for fine arts and was a back up dancer by the age of 19. He never was a gangsta. Biggie was the only child to a registered nurse and had anything he wanted as a young man. He would sell a few drugs to fit in with the other guys in the neighborhood. So he not a gangsta he was a want to be thug. Peace out.

Someone else say the beefs are real. Tupac was killed by someone who was not affiliated with the people he was beefing with and Biggie was shot by two off duty cops who had no connection to Tupac. Only about 12 or 13 rappers have died from murder in the last 26 years. None of them have died from Hip Hop beef. I was born and raised in the Hood and I can tell you all of the true gangsta's and thugs are either dead, in jail, fresh out of jail, on there way back To jail, dead, or strung out on drugs. In fact, 80 percent of people in the hood are not gangsta's or drug dealers. Believe me you would recognize a real gangsta if you meet one. They don't talk very much like most rappers. I can say Tony Yayo, Ghostface Killer, Soldier Slim, C Murder and Baby from Cash Money are true Gangsta's. Yayo recently was released from prison and is on his way back, Ghostface Killer survived the game so how, Soldier Slim is dead, C Murder is in the Pen and Baby has robbed more rappers legally than Billy the Kid. He has enough money to pay to have you killed this is how he survives. Most other rappers like 50 cent, TI and Lil Wayne are good guys who hang with Gangsta's. 50 Cent was shot and knows who shot him but didn't retaliate. This would mean he was not a gangsta but a good guy working to get out of a bad situation. That’s what he did. The Game has never been a Gangsta but his older brother BIG GAME HUNTER is the leader of a gang of Bloods and they protect the little brother the Game. So he is what you call gang related. Most people from the hood have at least one friend or cousin who is in trouble or fresh out of trouble. The good cousin's and friends become rappers and the gangsta cousins, brothers and friends become the material to write rhymes about and say they are you. 50 cent stole his name and style from an older King Pin in his neighborhood named 50 cent. Rick Ross and Freeway stole there names, styles and stories from a LA King Pin who name is "Freeway" Ricky Ross. Both gangstas are in jail and the three copy cats or rich from telling the gangsta's stories. You get it?

Every hood has legends who died or went to jail, Everyone knows there stories. When most rappers get a deal they tell the neighborhood legends story. it's like the Soprano's. The actors are not gangsta's they simply live out true Cosa Nostra stories on the small screen for ou entertainment. Well the rappers do the same thing on CD.
