Question: Question on the Movie Slumdog Millionaire!?
Is there anyone out there who DID NOT like the movie Slumdog Millionaire!? I went to see it the other night and I was really disturbed by the blinding the little boy scene!. I dont get why they had to put that scene in the movie!. Yes the movie was well acted, but I would not have gone to see it had I known that scene was in it!. Anyone else not enjoy the movie!? I liked the film!. It was pretty much excellent!. I think the scene had to be shown, that's the point of the film, to show what some kids go through in India, there's no point in sugar-coating things!. And it really wasn't that graphic!. That scene was at night, so it was quite dark, and you had to use your imagination!. It was disturbing!. But it's what happens in India, so it wouldn't have been right to leave it out!
Overall, the film is good!. But I have issues with it being marketed as a 'feel good' film, when in fact it was quite depressing!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree! It was way too harrowing to be (and I quote) "the feel good movie of the year"!.
It just wasn't very well done, it made a mockery of a harsh and unpleasant life, not even considering the loss and pain involved, just clinging on to the material aspect of life!.

i didn't like the film!. but not because of that scene!. i agree the scene was disturbing and not altogether necessary though!.

I have yet to see the movie but from what you said, I gather it is not a tasteful one!. There is already too much gore and violence in movies but this one I guess really takes the cake!. Thanks for the heads up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
