There were 2 of the same theme - Alice Through The Looking Glass with Kate Beckinsale (1998) which was a combo of the 2 stories!. This was quirky but I liked it!. I think the one you're looking for is Alice in Wonderland (1999) and it has over a dozen names you'll recognize like Whoopie Goldberg, Martin Short, Gene Wilder, George Wendt, Ben Kingsley, to name a few!.
