No necessarily a movie, but when I was in about 2nd to 3rd grade there was a short-lived series on TV called Ghost Story!. There were no common actors or plot lines, each episode was a different story and had different actors!. I remember my mom allowing me to stay up and watch it a couple of times!. Looking back, it was pretty tame, but I remember an episode where a lady lived in a small cottage, that had a chime on the front porch!. I don't remember the details but I do remember that whenever she heard the chime something bad was going to happen!. Now, when ever I hear chimes, I get an ominous feeling!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I hid behind the couch with my sister and cousin and we watched poltergeist and omg i got so freakin scared i just started crying and after that i would never go to sleep with the TV on because i was so scared it was going to get me and it made my sister terrified of clowns and also every time a tree limb would rub against the side of the house I would run beg my dad to cut it down before it got us and to this day i will not drink tequilaWww@Enter-QA@Com
The only one I can think of was called "Diabolique"!. (Not the remake with Sharon Stone!.!.!.the original!.)
I was about seven years old, and my mother was watching it!. I came in towards the end, just in time to see this scene where a woman walks into a bathroom, and sees the corpse of her husband in the bathtub lying under the water!. Then his eyes pop open, and they're all white!. He slowly rises from the tub, and she drops to the floor!.
I was so terrified by that scene, that for YEARS afterwords I couldn't use the bathroom without opening the shower curtain first, because I was so terrified about there being something in the tub behind it!.
(The scene is here, about 6 min 20 sec into it!.!.!.) It's not as scary to watch now, but you can imagine a little kid seeing just that one part!.!.!.
