I actually own it on DVD!. It's my personal favorite WWII film, the plot is excellent and exciting!.!.!.and sorry Mr!. Taco, but the whistling gives the film it's light-heartedness amidst the back-drop of a Japanese prison camp!.

Fine movie!. Epic!. Exciting!. Well-shot!. Alec Guinness is awesome in it!. It is a tad-bit drawn out, and I could have done without the whistling!. I give it 4 out of 5 stars!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I loved it & I usually don't like watching war movies!. My dad made me watch it one day & suprisingly it wasn't that bad! Plus, I didn't even know it won an Oscar, so put that in your back pocket!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like it, but then again I am partial to anything with William Holden or Alec Guinness!. It is of course a bit to long, as most epics can be, but it is not so painfully long that it becomes unbearable!. Anything from the AFI top 100 movies of all time is worth watching at least once!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
