Did anyone else feel sorry for James Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean At W!
Question: I really disliked him in the first movie because i was rooting for Will, but then in the third movie, i respected him and he really added an interesting tone to the movie. I was so sad when Bootstrap killed him!!! Just curious as to if anyone else feels this way, and if you dislike him, why?

Yeah... I did. He was portrayed as a downright git in the first couple movies but he "came around" at the end and when he dies, you're supposed to feel bad that he's gone just as he became likable.

At least he had a more respectable death instead of dying like a villain.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I couldn't stand the idiot in the first film, and then around the second film I liked him even less. He seemed like a lame, arrogant, a**hole. But in the end, I think he really showed his true colors, and I did feel bad that he died. But not too bad, cause he did screw people over.
You almost feel for the guy. Cuz he wanted Elizabeth and never got 2.
