I've just watched Iron Monkey for the first time. I was blown away and plan on telling my friends about it. I have in the past, heard the style of fighting used in Crouching Tiger and Iron Monkey referred to with a phrase or word. Can anyone tell me what that genre is?

the style used is called wushu.. its a modern take on kung fu..and the style used in movies it's used with wires connected to the actors, so some will call it wire fu.. but in reality it's wushu
wuxia means martial heroes, and applies more to traditional opera, than the newer movies..but films like 'touch of zen' and 'come drink with me' are great examples of wuxia pian- martial hero movies
