If nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show the film?!
Question:
If nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show the film?
Answers:
Actually, I used to run the IMAX Theater in Los Angeles (the original one built in 1984), and if we had less than a certain amount of people show up, we would sometimes not run the show due to the expense just from firing up the lamp and the audio dubbers, not to mention the projector's motors. If there were fewer than about ten people in the audience, it would put us in the red for that show.
But, back then the IMAX Theaters weren't the entertainment venues they are now, but were more museum/education-based.
