Why are magazine prices skyrocketing when advertising inside of them takes up half of the pages or more?
I was bored one day and counted the ads/pages in a few magazines. It's roughly 45%-60% advertising.
Answers:
Because people are stupid. They won't boycott their favourite magazines and force an improvement in content/advert ratio. So you're getting the game of highest price for least content/quality that they can get away with.
