Riddle math question.......?!


Question: Riddle math question!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
i had this on a auto mechanic test in school on time it has nothing to do with auto mechanics!.!.!.!.!.how do you get 4 exact gallons of water with a 3 gallon bucket and a 5 gallon bucket you have nothing else to measure by but these two buckets can you guess it!.!.!.o by the way i was the only one to get it at the time!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com


Answers:
fill the five gallon then pour it in the three

now you have two in the five

empty the three and pour the two from the five to the three

now you have 2 in the 3gallon

now fill the five gallon jug and pour one gallon in the three gallon jug to fill it you will be left with 4 gallons in the five gallon jug





also

you can do it this way

fill the three G jug and pour it in the five

fill the three g again and pour in the five!.!.!.you will be left with one in the three jug

empty the five gallon jug pour the one from the threee in the five gallon jug

filll the three G jug and pou it in with the 1 in the five G jug

Fill the 3 gallon bucket, pour in the 5 gallon!. Fill the 3 gallon again and pour in the 5 gallon to the top!. There should be 1 gallon left in the 3 gallon bucket!. Empty the 5 gallon bucket and add the 1 gallon of water to the 5 gallon bucket!. Finally fill the 3 gallon bucket again and add to 5 gallon bucket!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

put a little bit less than 5 gallons of water in the 5 gallon bucket!.
