Either 3 or 4!.
Their rate of mouse catching is 3 mice in 3 minutes therefore in 99 minutes they will have 99 mice!.
However, the question is not specific enough as to whether the three mice a minute are caught at a rate of one mouse a minute (which would mean that 100 minutes = 100 mice) therefore only requiring the original three cats, or whether each cat takes three minutes to catch its mouse in which case an extra cat would be needed to provide the extra mouse in order to reach the required 100 mice within the time limit!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think 33!. this is because its saying 3 cats catch 3 mice in 3 minutes, so that means it takes each cat to catch a mouse 3 minutes!. Thats one cat to three minutes!. If you set it up as a proportion, it would be 1 cat over 3 minutes equals blank cats over 100 minutes!. The math would be 100 divided by 3 which is 33!.3, but since you can't have !.3 a cat, then it would be 33!. Thats just my thinking!. The riddles a bit general!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
ummm, well if each cat caught 3 mice in 3 minutes then it would take 3 cats to catch100 mice in 100 minutes!. BUT if each cat only caught 1 mouse in the three minutes for a total of 3 mice caught by all the cats in the span of three minutes than i think that it would take 100 cats!. But really i think you need to expand on the question!.
My guess is 3 cats!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Is this from the Proffesor Layton and the Curious Village game, for ds!? Well, I think the answer is 1 cat!.Because if 3 cats catch 3 mice in 3 minutes, then 1 cat can catch 3 mice in 3 minutes too, because 1 cat to 1 minute could still be 1 cat to 100 minutes!.I think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
