Here lets try this again?!

I didn't get -2. Maybe I'm reading the equation incorrectly... Here's what I did:
2^(x^( -2))=64
2^6=64 therefor x^(-2)=6
x^(-2)=6
1/(x^2)=6
1=6(x^2)
1/6=x^2
x= square root of (1/6)
x= 1/ (sqroot of 6)
x= (sqroot of 6) / 6
so that's what I got: root 6 over 6
Or, if I read it wrong and the equation is 2^(x-2)=64 then...
2^6=64 therefore x-2=6
x-2=6
x=8
...but that's not -2 either
you shoulda paid more attention while the Teacher was explaining....
It kinda looks like something off a Chinese menu for 64 cents, no?
I love how you file your math school homework under "jokes & riddles"
.
why don't you ask it in the math section...i don't know how to do that...sorry...i am only in eighth grade.
im in yr 7 lol
