As a Scorpio, I have found that I tend to get along with Cancer women better. They tend to be nurturing and caring. The only problem is that many Cancer women are also needy in emotional ways. Since I tend to be a little bit above showing my emotions all over the place, I sense that they eventually become starved for validation, which I am not inclined to give all that often. (It is not easy for me to deal with insecurity in a male/female relationship.) I tend to expect my partner to intuitively know things the same way I do without being told, whereas Cancers tend to enjoy verbal communication. They like having the obvious stated right out in the open when it comes to emotionality. The way I see it, relationships between Scorpios and Cancers are extremely beneficial to the Scorpio, but the Cancer tends to be left wanting more.
Scorpios get along very well with Virgos. I'm a Virgo and some of my closest people are Scorpios. My son is a Scorpio and his girl is Virgo, they've been together for 3 yrs.
Scorpio guys are very loyal. But once their trust is broken, it's most likely that they will never trust the one who broke their trust. As scorpio is a water sign, they get along incredibly well with other water signs Pisces and Cancer.
