I have been playing for 30+ years and I can honestly say, playing guitar has saved my life. I played in bands and different types of groups in the 70's and 80s. I got heavy into drug and alcohol use and eventually gave up playing and didn't even own a guitar for 5-10 years. After I hit bottom, I quit drugs and booze....bought a cheap classical and music came back to me. I now own 9 different types and makes of guitars and play in my Church Praise Band. I have 5 years of sobriety and I owe it all to faith in the Lord and having my music back in my life. Yes, 9 awesome guitars, no trash!
