I absolutely love my red nano ipod!! it was close to 200$ but it was well worth it!!
i've never really heard any of my friends who have ipods be unhappy with them, so i guess the best one for you might depend on what you want it for. if you like LOTS of music then maybe you should get an ipod with more storage than mine (4GB). also, it depends if you want the video or not. good luck!
