Question: Why do a lot of girls like anime/manga!?
Well when i was a kid lots of girls didn't like cartoons or anime characters!. I remember watching DBZ and pokemon and that the girls HATED it! now that i'm a teen tons of girls are watching and talking about it now and less and less and less dudes are cosplaying and having fun the good ol' days!.!.!.!.!.!.
I just want to know why so many girls like it and why there are less guys than girls that like it now a days!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
Oh and I was at SacAnime (an anime convention) and 70% of the viewers of the vids i took were gurls O_o

I loved and still love Dragonball Z and all those great anime classics so I don't know what kind of girls your talking about!.
I've loved anime for over 15 years now and will love it forever!. I love all the different stories and I love the art! I love all kinds of animes ranging from action, dark, romance, comedy, supernatural, mecha, fantasy, yaoi/shounen-ai and bloody/horror!.
I have no idea why where you are there are more girls then guys that like anime right now, but no matter who is leading, it doesn't really matter does it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

well i think there something to do with how they design the guy character now a days!.!.
back then DBZ let's just face it the cast is not to handsome to admire unlike now there is a buch of anime and manga that the characters specially if it's the lead guy it look so good looking!.!.!.

Anyways, i think its the art and how the characters *cough* especially the male characters are drawn, they have a personality that would catch someones attention, and DBZ and pokemon didnt have much romance so MOST not all girls were interested!. Now there are more romance genre's so that probably gets more girls hooked on it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's strange!.!.all the people at my school that like anime/manga are boys, and I'm the only girl that likes it! (I live in a very small town)
My guess is that there are more anime/manga geared towards girls now then it was back then!. I always have liked DBZ and Pokemon, but alot of girls think (and still do) it's violent and immature!. When anime that focused more on what girls like were created, alot of females became interested in it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love to watch Anime and read Mangas!
I believe its because of what type of anime and manga that everyone likes!. Some boys like DBZ, One Piece, Inu Yasha, Bleach, Naruto, and a whole lot more!. And girls like Ouran Highschool Host club, Vampire Knight, Tokyo Mew Mew, Fruits Basket, Lucky Star, and a whole lot more!. Cause those are cute for us girls!.
Or maybe because girls are making up storys and cosplays about boyXboy to be more interested in the anime or manga!. For example Lots Of Girls Like SasuNaru, Its the #1 yaoi couple if u know what I mean I think!. There are still boys watching animes that I know of like my brother, cousins, even my dad!.

the reason is because back then manga didn't have alot to do with girls, like now like in Manga they have Sexually Sense in there and there also girl manga and gay manga and just all kinds back then it wasn't it just was sailor moon but since there alot of manga for both guys and girls of course alot of girls going start reading them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Not sure, but when i was little i used to watch DBZ, Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh [[Yami was just awesome xD]] every morning!.!.!. but then again i also watched Sailor Moon -shivers-

Simple!. Cartoons are now also aimed at girls such as the romantic animes!. I myself being a girl and hating romance love anime such as naruto, and i used to watch pokemon all the time!. There are so many more tomboys out there these days and less of those 'omg i broke a nail' type of people!. Not to mention that their are more females in the world than males!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well, back then mangas and animes didn't really have lead female characters!. And it wasn't really aimed for the girls!.
But now, a lot of animes are made for girls and have girl main characters!. =]

I am a girl and i like anime!. i remember DBZ and i hated it!. It took them like a whole episode to power up for the battles or w/e!. No true anime fan likes DBZ seriously, so dont blame them!. lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It may be because of the cool anime guys that appeals every girls heart or the genre of the manga/anime(ex!. romance, mystery, comedy, etc!.)!.!.!.!.!.I'm a girl but I'm a total Pokemon addict and I enjoy watching anime and reading manga!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Anime didn't have a boom in the US until around the mid to late 90's when a few companies took chances with shows like Sailor Moon, and Samurai Pizza Cats!. I think that until then the only anime fans were people who had seen shows like "StarBlazers" and "Robotech" long before and younger boys who watched Dragon Ball!.
As companies began taking more chances with shows, it came to light that "Hey, not all Anime is like Dragon Ball Z! Maybe there's more to this stuff!.!.!." As more people started watching the anime that was on television, companies began taking even more chances, translating manga and other series!.
As a wider array became available and known, more people (and thus, more girls) took an interest!.
However, I don't think that "less guys" like anime!. It might just seem like it to you because there are more female anime fans these days!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
