In my opinion I think a great name for ur cocktiel would be Potato like the dog from Air (it may be a dog but I believe it could work for a cockatiel as well). Potato is the ultimate name! Just think about it, one day u r walking along the sidewalk with ur cockatiel on ur arm and suddenly a small girl around the age of eight stops and says, "Wow that is a very cute cockatiel! Whats its name?", u stand tall, head up high and sun shining behind u, "Potato, his/her name is Potato." u respond proudly. The small girl looks at ur cockatiel admiration sparkling in her eyes. U smile and you and Potato continue ur walk around the neighborhood. :)
What about Akumaru (I think that's how it's spelled), Kiba's pet dog on Naruto?
