Why is it that superman is unrecognizable as Clark Kent?!

The first is that Pre Crissis on Infinite Earths Superman powers included super hypnosis and he used this through the lenses of his glasses. The lenses were made of glass from Krypton that was part of the rocket that brought hime to Earth.
The Second is in the post Crissis DC Universe no one thinks Superman would lower himself to possing as a human. This can be seen in Luthor's responce when a computer tells him that Superman is Clark Kent in a story called the Secret Revealed from Superman #2 (Feb 1987).

its the way he carries him self as clark his body is more slouched and he always looks down but as superman he stands tall with his head high also his clothes are loser than his leotard and cape hope this helps
Because people often don't notice what's directly in front of them...
Superman is a special being and most people would be happy just to be able to see him flying above in the sky... To actually be with Superman, or to think of him as an ordinary person is difficult to imagine. Then Clark Kent is so hopelessly nerdy, clumsy, and awkward... Most people just dismiss Clark and never really look at him.
