When did Britney Spears and her other peers arrive on the scene?!


Question: As much as I hate to ask this question but I have to settle a feud with my 15yr old daughter, she says Britney Spears and Christina Aguilara arrived on the scene in 1998 and I say it was more like the early 2000 or so....Can you help us out on this one, thanks in advance.

Britney and christina both got famous in the mid 90s (1993-94) due to 'The mickey mous clubhouse' on disney channel, along with Justin timberlake, Jc Chazes and others.

They both did other work, until they both landed record deals around 1999.

    It was 97 or 98, when the whole teen pop thing took off.
    Britney actually started as a mousketeer alongside Justin Timberlake in the late 80's.
    Yes , 1999, her Album 'Baby One More Time'.
    I never took any notice of any of the new rock stars, they are all the same.
    She is a big mess now.
