The first movie stars Debbie Reynolds and is titled "Tammy and the Bachelor"!. Her leading man is Leslie Nielsen! This movie introduced "Tammy", which Debbie sings!. // I thought I recalled that The Ames Brothers sing it during the opening credits; I didn't quite trust my memory though!.
The second film stars Sandra Dee and is titled "Tammy Tell Me True"!. She then returned to star in "Tammy and the Doctor", in which Peter Fonda makes his film debut as the doctor of the title!.
In all three of these movies, the main character's name is Tambrey "Tammy" Tyree!.
Debby Watson plays Tammy Tarleton in the film "Tammy and the Millionaire", which followed her short-lived TV series "Tammy", also as Tammy Tarleton!. // I have to add that Debby was fairly popular though she wasn't in a lot!. She's Marilyn in "Munster, Go Home!" I'm surprised that they didn't try her in one of the Gidget movies!.
NOTE: Even at my young age, I knew that Debby Watson's Tammy film wasn't even as good as the Sandra Dee films, which really aren't as good as the original with Debbie Reynolds!. But, we weren't ultra-fussy back then!. Remember: We loved the Beach Party movies, and most of my friends never missed an Elvis flick! *giggle*
