How did Ellen DeGeneres start her 12 days of giveaways,I read that she is trying to be like Oprah Winfrey,I don't know if that is true or not,when did she have her very first 12 days of giveaways show & what did she give out and what year was it!?

don't think she is trying to be like oprah it is common for a Company to go to talk shows give free products like 200 or so for audience cause ITs actually cheaper for them that way then to run actually a 30 chimerical and doing it on shows you get almost a min of product placement plus you see how people go nuts (even if its crappy its free so whooo) so people at home will want to buy it
so it was probaly if anything companys wanted her to do it or if she thought of the plan (to get more ratings) the companys easliy agreed for free products
