Jacob is a different entity!. We don't know enough about him to make any rational decisions about who he, she, or it is!. It does use Jacks dad as a voice of sorts, though it did talk to Ben!. Hurley saw it's eye in the cabin and got scared!. I think Jacob may be Richard or Jacks dad if it is any of the characters!.
