I know Simon wants to turn the UK music industry into the USA music industry where a load of rubbish is sold based on money spent on hype, for idiots to buy!. Most of the music produced isn't remembered after a couple of years!. I mean they had a high point with Motown in the late 60s/70s etc, but hardly anything of real quality is produced now!. Britney has only sang a couple of good songs, so why devote a whole night to the songs she sang!? Does Simon have some kind of contract with USA record companies to promote their music!? Firstly, Britney has had so much more than just a 'couple' of 'good' songs, she has had numerous amounts of 'great' songs, based not solely on my opinion, but on that of the millions of people who buy her records and made her the global superstar that she is today!. Secondly, those people that I just spoke about are not only 'kids under 15 who like anybody celeb magazines tell them to'!. I know this because I am many years older than 15 and have loved Britney for a long time!. Thirdly, if you ever listened to Simon Cowell you would realise that he IS interested in quality, 1 - Leona Lewis, is AMAZING, the first British artist in 20 years to make number 1 in America, you're telling me thats not quality!? And look at the way he bigs up Alexandra (you are watching aren't you!?) she is also amazing!. In answer to your actual question, they are doing a Britney night because she is performing on the X factor tonight, for the first time in a long time, and we are supporting her!.
