it's Ratings Sweeps time!
The Ratings Sweeps are the important TV Ratings( usually done Feb/May/Nov)
- the Rating during the 'sweeps' are what the networks use to set their Ad Rates
the Higher the Ratings during a show/timeslot the More they can Charge the Advertisers to run a commerical then
That is why you see Specials, important Episodes (including finales) during Sweeps time- they want to Inflate Their Ratings to get More $$
