Nick killed Trent but wants to convince Melanie that she did so that he can still have control over her!. Actually Nick is addicted to pain killers and I think that is why he is acting so strange!.
It will come out that Nick only killed Trent to protect Melanie because if he hadn't killed Trent, Trent would have killed Melanie!.
I do not know if Nick is leaving Days!. I gather he will be sent away once it comes out that he killed Trent!. Perhaps he will return at a later date!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It might be the drugs, but a lot of people are addicted to pain killers and don't kill other people and try to blame someone else!. These pain killers might have brought out a psychosis in Nick that no one knew about!. He didn't come to Salem until he was college age, so they don't know his past!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
