Question: One Tree Hill- Dan Scott!?
Ok, so i just recently started watching one tree hill!. Whats the deal with Dan Scott!. Who Is he!?!? And in the most recent episodes, Lucas hits Dan's grave with a shovel!. Is Dan dead!?!? How!?!?!? Since when!?!?!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dan is Lucas's and Nathan's dad!. He got Karen, Lucas's mom, pregnant in high school, then left her and went to college!. In college, he met Deb, and got her pregnant (with Nathan)!. Dan married Deb, and they were one "happy" family!. Since Dan left Karen, his brother Keith helped Karen raise Lucas !.
Dan was a mega-jerk from the beginning!. Made everyone's life a living hell!. So at the end of season 2, Deb tries to kill Dan by poisoning him and burning the building he was in!.!.!.!.but Lucas saves him!. Well, he thinks it was Keith, so in season 3 - he kills Keith!.
At the end of season 4, he admits he is the one that killed Keith, because nobody knew, and then went to jail!.
Season 5 jumped ahead 4 years, and he got out then!. 4 years for murder!? hmmm!. Anyway!.!.!.!. he got out and found out his heart condition was worse than he thought and that he would die without a transplant!.
Now we're in season 6 and he still hasnt had a transplant, so he probably knows he will die soon - so he bought his own headstone, because he knows nobody will buy it for him!. Hes a murderer!.
Thats also why Lucas was hitting his grave with a shovel!. He was there to see Keith, who was basically his dad, and he saw the tombstone of the man that killed Keith, so he started hitting it!.
I suggest watching the seasons you missed, at least season 1-3, because if you like it now, you will LOVE those!. They were so great!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Dan Scott is the villain of the show, you should really really watch One Tree Hill from season one up to the current shows!. Dan isn't dead yet, he's just slowly dying in a way because he has HCM and a bad heart - he just prepared himself with a large tombstone because he's a pompous fool who wants to be superior all the time!. Lucas hits his grave with a shovel because he thinks it's an abomination that Dan would try to show up his brother even in death, especially after everything he's done!. To make a long story short he killed his brother Keith out of jealousy and because he thought he tried to kill him first!.!.
