Dave is after Mike!. Mike was in prison for killing his brother (that crooked cop he killed in self-defense)!. Dave mentioned how his brother got messed up in bad stuff and drugs!.

It really seems like Dave is after Mike!. Dave wanted Mike in the band so badly too!. Dave wants to get close to Mike for some reason!.
But Mike isn't the only one on Wistera Lane that went to prison, Carlos and Orson went to prison too!. So who knows!? But Mike did go to prison for self-defense, he accidentally killed a cop!. That was revealed in the 1st season!.
