I think it's because the shows that spawned them made people like them!. They don't actually have to create new "characters"!. People liked Real & Chance on I Love NY & I Love $$, so they don't have to invest in making anyone else "famous"!. It's the same thing I think that happened with New York herself!. She had such a big fan base & evoked such a response (love her or hate her) that they knew she'd draw a crowd on her own show!.

The Abrego/Cronin shows from 51 Minds are low-end-celebrity-making factories!.!.!. and when you make the celebs, they're all too happy to enlist for runs on their own shows hoping for lasting breakout success!.
