Question: Commercials that make huge claims and then in print you can barely read is a disclaimer!.!?
What do you think of this type of commercial and which ones do you find annoying or deceptive!?The one that disturbs me the most is the one for a cancer treatment centers!.The spokes people tell of their prior experience with their doctor and the grim prospects!.In the next frames the patient is glowing and praising the hospital and their care!.Of course it is marvelous that they are cancer survivors!.What I take exception to is how in small print in letters that blend in with the background is a disclaimer saying "individual results may vary"!. I think this disclaimer should be displayed as prominantly as their phone number!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Gussie I have not noticed the small print!. It is hard to say how that is effecting someone who is in need of support! If they have to advertise then it might be considered selling a product! That was very good question Gussie!Www@Enter-QA@Com

These people are trying to sell a product!. Granted, its a very important topic that their product relates to, but they are trying to sell a product none the less!. They have to put the disclaimer up there by law if it is the case that "individual results may vary" then they shout the products praises all they want and have denyablility saying "we put the warning on the commercial!" by law the warning only has to be that big, so thats the size they use!. If they made it bigger than necessary then they would get less business!. I do agree it should be more visable though as not to confuse buyers!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

You said a mouthful and I agree, all contracts have small print so people won't read it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
