Why don't they have ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX OnDemand?!
Question: Why don't they have ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX OnDemand!?
OK NBC sucks but why not the others!? And I mean OnDemand on cable, not on the networks' individual websites!. Why!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am pretty sure they have CBS on ONDEMAND!. I watched every episode of Jericho that way!. They had other shows like Numb3rs!. I think it was under "TV Entertainment" on the first menu!. I just looked, and it is!. They have CBS, NBC, FX, TBS,!. No Fox or ABC!. When I miss episodes on my DVR, though, I also check out the websites!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Chad is wrong!. You can go on line to their web site and watch it on TV!. I have a computer connected to my Flat screen LCD for on line content!. It also records shows like a DVR (its called a PVR)!.
ABC, NBC and ABC have most of their prime time and late night shows on line!. IT IS FREE!.
All the cable and network news guys have clips on line as well, also FREE!.
They why!?
It cost money and technology and band width to do cable on demand!. How do they get paid for it!. Each time a show is ordered "on demand" they will want Ad revenue or a fee!. That has to be worked out!. It may happen in the future, but on demand in most markets is just/mostly for movies!.
The on line stuff they have control of and can sell Ads!.
A complication is Ad revenue and residuals (what they pay the writers, actors and production )!. This was a point of contention to the networks and writers as you recall during the writer strike!.
ON DEMAND needs the cable company and network to work together!. My digital cable network is already maxed out and some times hangs and act sluggish!. I don't think they can fit more garbage onto it, until they up grade the system!. Not every thing can be on demand!.
Record the show with a DVR & watch when you want!. If you don't have a computer and high speed internet connected to your TV, next to your cable box you are missing a lot of power!.
