Question: A question about 'Lost', (20 characters)!?
Right, I think I watched the first episode of lost about 3 years ago!. I remember seeing them crash and land on the Island!. Other than that I have never really watched it again!. I have a few friends who watch it religiously and they always get excited about it being on or they get grumpy if they miss it!. Whenever I ask them, 'what had actually happened on the series!? What is it about!?' they always say that it's too confusing or too much to take in, so I have no idea what it is about!. Could someone please give me a narrow outline of what the program is actually about and what has happened so far through out the entire series and what you think is actually going to happen in the end!. I realise that it's an annoying question but if anyone could answer, you would put my mind at rest!. Thank you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

if i were to give a simple outline of the story, i would say that the show is about how a bunch of people get stranded on a tropical island, and in trying to get rescued they discover that the island holds many secrets, and may exist out of time!. experiments were held on the island to do with time travel and healing diseases, and the survivors stumble on this and a conspiracy involving a mysterious company!. so far, some of the survivors have managed to get rescued, leaving the rest behind, but the company is after the location of the island to harness its power and they need to go back to save the other people on the island!. i reckon the show will go on to develop its themes of time travel and explain the origin of the islands powers, and there may be a doomsday warning somewhere in the mix as well!. i reckon the show will end with the survivors stopping the end of the world, and going back in time to the first season, like a loop!. its a mess of an explanation, but thats the best i can manageWww@Enter-QA@Com
Wouldn't you rather watch it and see!? It's one of those series that you pretty much have to watch from the beginning or you won't be able to get into it later (too much bizarre character development and history for each person)!.

Your friends are right, too many things happened in the series!. and nobody knows what's going to happen at the end, even the actors don't know!. You should maybe rent the box-sets and watch the whole show if you want to get all the details!.
In a nutshell: they crash on an island and soon discover that some people inhabit this island, they call them "the others"!. They also find a few stations or bunkers on the island and discover that these were part of an experiment!. There are a lot of unexplained phenomenons on that island, some of the survivors have visions, some that were sick before the crash are mysteriously cured!.

It really is quite confusing because now they're flipping through three time periods and we're not always sure which time period we're viewing!. They're flipping between the past, present, AND future - a future in which several of them (Jack, Kate, Aaron, Hurly, Sayid, and Sun) are off the Island!. They had to say they were the only survivors to protect their friends still on the Island!. Jack is going crazy because he thinks they need to go BACK to the Island!. Kate is pretending to be Aaron's mother and Claire is dead (!?)!. Sayid is going around killing people for Ben!. Locke is dead, but in the last season finale they take his body out of the casket because they need to bring him back to the Island too - EVERYONE has to go back!.
A lot happens between this and the first season!. People die, very few things are explained, we're left with a million questions and it's incredibly frustrating! Your friends are correct, it is very difficult to explain everything thoroughly and you would understand it best if you watched it yourself!.
